All around the world, Celestica employees take it upon themselves to make a positive contribution to the communities in which we live and work.

United Way Celestica Toronto

Celestica supports United Way Toronto

Over the past 15 years, Celestica’s Toronto site has supported the annual United Way campaign by participating in the CN Tower Climb, hosting a large variety of employee-driven activities and volunteering at United Way agencies in the Greater Toronto Area. Through our corporate donation match program and our employees’ contributions, we have raised close to $8 million to date.

Habitat Romania Celestica

Celestica’s Oradea site employees pitch in to build a house for their local community in five days

It was the house that Celestica built. For the second consecutive year, Celestica’s employees from our Oradea, Romania site rolled up their sleeves to help build a house for a family in need through Habitat for Humanity. More than 100 employees from Celestica’s site worked side-by-side with the family and built the house from ground up in just five days.

Thailand flood relief Celestica

Celestica’s Thailand employees support flood relief efforts

In 2011, Thailand was hit by heavy monsoon rains, causing the worst flooding the country has seen in decades. To lend a hand to flood relief efforts, a group of employees from Celestica’s Laem Chabang site joined the Sriracha Off-Road Club to help raise money to buy provisions for disaster relief packages sent to the three most affected provinces in Central Thailand. Employees also volunteered to drive the packages to the affected areas, with some employees traveling through one meter high flood waters to deliver the packages.

Guidelines

At Celestica, we strive to enhance the communities in which we operate. This is done by encouraging employee volunteerism and financial donations in support of our giving policy and guidelines.

Innovation in education: We support organizations that motivate and inspire youth in the areas of math, science and technology through unique hands-on experiences.

Community: We contribute to the quality of life in our community by supporting organizations such as local food banks and Habitat for Humanity. We have an active United Way campaign in Toronto.

Health and human services: We provide donations or volunteerism to local and national health and human service agencies. Celestica also provides aid to help relieve people in time of great need. This may include relief efforts in communities that have suffered great loss due large-scale adversities such as floods, fires, storms, earthquakes – in the countries in which we operate.
