Three New Enterprise Access / Edge Switches Offer a Range of Edge Options

• ES1000 -1U 24 to 48-port 1GbE Power Over Ethernet (PoE) Secured Access Switch 
• ES1010 -1U 48-port 1GbE (PoE) Secured Access Switch 
• ES1050 -1U 48-port 1GbE / 2.5GbE (PoE) Secured Access Switch

These new switches incorporate secure Media Access Control Security (MACsec) port speeds from 1 to 25 GbE and include redundant, field-replaceable fans and power supplies for high reliability. MACsec provides robust security within the local Ethernet networks, protecting data from threats within the LAN by adding a layer of data confidentiality and integrity. The ES1050 even offers the option of up to 8 core Intel Denverton CPUs. All these switches offer optionally up to 90 Watt POE++ (Power Over Ethernet) on any port to support a host of devices like cameras and building access devices that every enterprise deploys en masse today. 

Meet Our New Gateway Switch - Celestica’s EG1050

In addition to the access capabilities listed above, the new 48 port ethernet-based EG1050 is a highly integrated gateway switch that comes standard with POE++ capability and also offers concurrent Wi-Fi (6/6E) connectivity & 5G (sub 6GHz) for WAN backhaul option. As organizations choose increasingly to support the tremendous growth of wireless-based access, the performance, connectivity, and security that the EG1050 provides can serve as a cost-effective, high-performing, secured and scalable enterprise gateway solution.

An Open Approach to Networking Operations

Celestica takes an open approach to networking software. Across our entire line of switches, including these four new enterprise switches, Celestica will support SONiC  (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud) – an open-source NOS based on Linux. SONiC offers a full suite of network functionality based on real-world usage in data centers around the globe. This open-code software is fully tested under a variety of topologies and load conditions across our entire line of data center, rack and enterprise switches and delivers a high level of performance and stability for production-ready deployment.
